Aggreko launches three Canadian-specific Tier 4 Final diesel generators

The 145 kW, 210 kW and 1200 kW 600V units are configured for Canadian contractors and remote industrial loads.

Aggreko has launched three Tier 4 Final diesel generators designed for remote Canadian work sites, offering 145 kW, 210 kW and 1200 kW capacities at 600V. Aggreko says the models will be available exclusively to Canadian contractors and are configured to meet local market and regulatory requirements.

The generators use what Aggreko describes as its latest technologies to deliver reliable, low-emissions power for commercial and industrial applications. All three units are CSA and UN31A compliant, which the company says addresses Canada's electrical and fuel regulations. Aggreko says the units are designed to meet and exceed local market needs and requirements.

1200 kW model targets large industrial loads

Aggreko highlights onboard 600V capability on the 1200 kW model, which eliminates the need for additional step-up transformers. According to the company, direct 600V output reduces project complexity, improves cost-efficiency and lowers potential points of failure. Aggreko positions that advantage for large industrial loads where 600V is often required.

Paul Nascimento, managing director for Canada at Aggreko, said tailoring the company's most advanced generators for Canadian customers reflects the market's importance. He pointed to large petrochemical and mining industries that need power across vast, remote territories, along with active construction and data-centre sectors. Nascimento said Canada has clear demand for engineered energy solutions that are powerful and precisely configured, and that the Canadian Tier 4 Final units combine Aggreko technology with hardware tailored to operating requirements in the country.

Canopy units and service network

The 145 kW and 210 kW models are canopy units that Aggreko says can be readily deployed for immediate energy needs. The 1200 kW model is aimed at large industrial loads. The additions expand Aggreko's Canadian fleet, which ranges from 25 kW to 1200 kW.

Aggreko says its Canadian service-centre network allows its energy experts to work with customers in data centres, construction, oil and gas, mining and events on temporary power deployments for a range of applications.

Emissions, noise and off-grid data-centre power

All three generators are described as providing industry-leading fuel efficiency, ultra-low emissions and significantly controlled noise levels, surpassing local requirements. Aggreko says the models are especially well suited to Canada's expanding data-centre industry. As provincial regulators look to limit the power data-centre operators draw from the grid, the company says its Tier 4 Final generators can provide off-grid energy to keep facilities operational while minimising disruption to communities.
